Integrating Research, Policy and Practice into Play
Panel presentation at the 2013 Active Living Research Annual Conference.
This plenary panel embodies the principle that people from diverse disciplines need to work together and combine expertise in research, policy and practice to achieve significant policy and environment change to promote active living. Presenters will share real-life case studies that illustrate how research and evaluation are being used for a variety of purposes, from planning policy and environmental interventions to evaluating outcomes. In some cases the multi-sector partnerships brought together for active living are being applied to achieving other societal goals. Presenters will both summarize lessons learned from their experiences and offer resources for further information.
