Delfien Van Dyck, a doctoral candidate at the University of Ghent, talks about her study examining the built environment factors (e.g. number of intersections, availability of parks) related to walking and biking among Belgium adults.  The study also looked at how people’s perceptions of their environment influence their walking or biking.
