Information Collection

Active Living Research collects information from our users at several different points on our website via a mailing list sign-up, teleconference call registration, and conference registration forms.

We use this information to contact the user about services of our program for which he or she has expressed interest. For example, we respond to inquiries about funding opportunities, conferences and other communication opportunities, and news of common interest.

Conference Abstract Submissions

This information is used to choose appropriate abstracts to invite participation at conferences or in sponsored publications.

Grant Applicants

This privacy statement does not apply to the information collected through grant applications. Grant applicants are linked to the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation On-line Grantmaking Program. Consult privacy information on the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation website.

Information Use

Generally, we use information for the purpose of which it was originally collected. For instance, mailing list participants are sent emails about Calls for Proposals released by our program and others news of interest. We do, on occasion, share information with other active living focused programs of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and with Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. We do not share information with other third parties

Non-identifiable website visitor data may be collected and used in the aggregate to help facilitate strategic planning and to assist in the creation and maintenance of content.

We do not set cookies.

Correcting / Updating / Deleting / Deactivating Personal Information

If a user’s personally identifiable information changes (such as zip code, phone, email or postal address), or if a user no longer desires our service or to receive information from us, we provide a way to correct, update or delete/deactivate users’ personally identifiable information. This can be done by emailing our support team.

Notification of Changes

If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes to this privacy statement, the homepage, and other places we deem appropriate so our users are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it. We will use information in accordance with the privacy policy under which the information was collected.
