This project provided supplemental funds for a study originally funded by the Healthy Eating Research (HER) program in their Round 2 funding that examined the factors that promote and inhibit improvements in the preschool nutrition environment in licensed child care centers in Connecticut. This HER supplemental grant added to the HER Round 2 grant by including assessments of physical activity policies and relevant environmental factors and expanding analyses to test the influence of socio-demographic and caregiver attitudes on physical activity policies and practices.
