The City of Portland, long considered the most bikeable city in the US, has decided to take their efforts a step further. The 2030 Portland Bicycle Plan envisions a future where 25% of trips are made by bike. The City Council relied on the findings of a study that used GPS to track what kinds of routes attract bicyclists and the results showed that the presence of bicycle boulevards can encourage people to bicycle more.
