This project provided supplemental funds for a study originally funded by the Healthy Eating Research (HER) program in their Round 2 funding that surveyed all Head Start program directors in the United States to assess eating and physical activity environments. This HER supplemental grant added to the HER Round 2 grant by providing supplemental funding to support the analysis and dissemination of the survey data on physical activity. The project provided statistics on Head Start physical activity practices, environments, and policies and how these vary by program characteristic.
